About This Game

Dinocide is a classic NES inspired old-school single-player platformer in a prehistoric fantasy world. Dinocide tries to capture the drive and fun of that era and recreate it in a modern way!

Description

The protagonist has to save his love interest who was kidnapped by an evil and mysterious Dinosaur God. You are accompanied by your own tame Dinosaurs, who act as a mounts, brother in arms and a true friends. With their help, you can jump higher, run faster, swim, fly and do a lot more things that an ordinary primitive man would never be able to do by himself. To reach your goal, you will travel together through the lands inhabited by ancient creatures and unknown dangers.

  It's kinda fun but not THAT fun.
  
  Nothing really to point about about it as BAD. It controls ok. It looks passable for the most. Has a fun moment here and there.
  
  But overall just kind of bland and a little boring.
  I hear that it's a ripoff of a game called Adventure Island (which I've never played, but looking at a recording of that game; yeah it's pretty much the exact same) and I hear that the original is better so play that instead.
  
  All in all I would recommend this game if you pick it up in a bundle with something else you wanted anyway, but I wouldn't go out and spend money specifically on getting this game.. Do not waste your money on this.
  
  Firstly, it's simple controls wouldn't work with my son's 8bitdo SFC30 gamepad, which was a bit annoying given how simple the controls are.
  
  Secondly the game is so bad it isn't worth any money whatsoever. The "physics" are like those programmed by a first time programmer and are quite horrible (e.g. 1 speed up\/down when jumping, no acceleration curve). The main game mechanic of starving very quickly is just ridiculous - this was a game I only bought for my kid to play but it was too hard to play it. Even I had trouble with the first level, let alone the 2nd.
  
  So with those 2 factors in mind I requested a refund.. Great game.Hard but rewarding.Fast-paced 2-D goodness. PS:Sequel ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Since you asked me i would like that the sequel would be little more action based and a little more fast-paced action to contribute to it's already fast gameplay.I would like more customization to the weapons and dinosaurs(that means that i would like more weapons and dinosaurs) but that the core gameplay stays the same. PS:Thanks for the awesome game :). This game is actually really challenging than it looks, but it is still truly fun to play.

  Very nice and fun game!
  Might have some secrets, found only a couple so far!
  I liked the weapon\/mount select system and the fatigue!

  Didn't like the hunger stuff (bit of fun though)
  Expensive for just 3 hours of gameplay!. It's a bit clunky to be quite honest.
  Little to no momentum in your jumps when you need it but at least the controls are responsive.
  The combat is bland but it's suitable for what the game is going for.
  However, the game has cool mechanics in my hot opinion even if the combat is lacking.
  The bosses aren't too bad if you have a weapon other than your default.
  Also, you can't go back to previous levels if you say, need a dino or a better weapon to beat that level you're stuck on.
  Final boss is almost impossible without items, so don't blow your load right before.
